We are currently supporting a leading organisation in the energy sector in their search for an experienced Enterprise Architect to support a major transformation program in Brussels.
This is a strategic role for someone who can bridge business and architecture domains, with a deep understanding of business process modelling (BPM) and strong expertise in Sparx EA.

This is a strategic role for someone who can bridge business and architecture domains, with a deep understanding of business process modelling (BPM) and strong expertise in Sparx EA.
Logistics:
- Title: Enterprise Architect / Business Architect / Business Analyst
- Location: Brussels (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)
- Contract Type: Freelance
- Day rate: €(Negotiable & Competitive)
- Duration: 12-month rolling contract
- Languages: English (Dutch is a strong advantage)
- Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Process Modelling: Lead the design and optimization of business processes across the enterprise using BPM best practices.
- Architectural Oversight: Develop and maintain enterprise architecture views using Sparx EA, aligning IT initiatives with business goals.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with senior business and technical stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into actionable programs.
- Gap Analysis & Roadmapping: Identify architectural gaps and design future-state solutions that support operational efficiency and transformation goals.
- Data Governance Support: Contribute to data governance and enterprise information management initiatives where relevant.
- Documentation & Standards: Maintain architectural documentation, models, and frameworks in line with enterprise standards.
Ideal Profile:
- Strong hands-on experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect tool
- Proven track record in business process modelling (BPM/BPMN)
- Experience working in or with utilities, energy, or manufacturing sectors
- Ability to operate across business and technical domains with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Understanding of enterprise and solution architecture frameworks
- Knowledge of data governance concepts and practices is a plus
- English fluency required; Dutch proficiency highly desirable
