We are currently supporting a leading organisation in the energy sector in their search for an experienced Enterprise Architect to support a major transformation program in Brussels.

This is a strategic role for someone who can bridge business and architecture domains, with a deep understanding of business process modelling (BPM) and strong expertise in Sparx EA.

Logistics:
  • Title: Enterprise Architect / Business Architect / Business Analyst
  • Location: Brussels (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)
  • Contract Type: Freelance
  • Day rate: €(Negotiable & Competitive)
  • Duration: 12-month rolling contract
  • Languages: English (Dutch is a strong advantage)
  • Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Process Modelling: Lead the design and optimization of business processes across the enterprise using BPM best practices.
  • Architectural Oversight: Develop and maintain enterprise architecture views using Sparx EA, aligning IT initiatives with business goals.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with senior business and technical stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into actionable programs.
  • Gap Analysis & Roadmapping: Identify architectural gaps and design future-state solutions that support operational efficiency and transformation goals.
  • Data Governance Support: Contribute to data governance and enterprise information management initiatives where relevant.
  • Documentation & Standards: Maintain architectural documentation, models, and frameworks in line with enterprise standards.

Ideal Profile:
  • Strong hands-on experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect tool
  • Proven track record in business process modelling (BPM/BPMN)
  • Experience working in or with utilities, energy, or manufacturing sectors
  • Ability to operate across business and technical domains with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Understanding of enterprise and solution architecture frameworks
  • Knowledge of data governance concepts and practices is a plus
  • English fluency required; Dutch proficiency highly desirable
