About the Role We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join a leading banking client in Belgium. You will be responsible for designing end-to-end IT solutions that support critical banking processes, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards, regulatory requirements, and long-term strategic goals.
This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who can bridge business and IT, driving innovation while maintaining the stability and security required in a regulated financial environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Design and document end-to-end solution architectures for banking applications
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and compliant technical solutions
• Define integration strategies across core banking systems, digital channels, and third-party services
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and IT governance standards
• Lead technical design discussions and provide guidance to development teams
• Evaluate new technologies and contribute to architectural roadmaps
• Support risk assessment, security, and regulatory compliance initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in IT architecture or senior technical roles
• Strong background in application architecture and system integration
• Experience with microservices, APIs, and distributed systems
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Understanding of data architecture and security best practices
• Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments
• Prior experience in banking or financial services is highly desirable

Nice to Have

• Experience with core banking platforms or payment systems
• TOGAF or other architecture certifications
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices
• French or Dutch language skills
