Solution Architect – Retail Brussels | Hybrid Working | Long-Term Contract/Permanent

The Opportunity We’re partnering with a leading Retail organisation in Brussels undergoing a significant digital transformation programme. They are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and deliver scalable, customer-centric technology solutions across e-commerce, supply chain, and in-store systems.
This role sits at the heart of business and technology - translating commercial strategy into robust, future-ready architecture.

You’ll work closely with product, engineering, digital, and operations teams to ensure solutions are resilient, integrated, and aligned with enterprise standards.
Your Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end technology solutions across digital, omnichannel, and retail platforms
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures
• Define integration patterns across e-commerce, ERP, POS, CRM, and supply chain systems
• Ensure performance, scalability, and security across customer-facing platforms
• Support cloud adoption and modernisation initiatives
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to guide delivery
• Maintain architectural governance and documentation
• Act as the technical bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams

What We’re Looking For Essential Experience

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in retail or consumer-focused industries
• Strong understanding of omnichannel retail ecosystems
• Experience integrating platforms such as e-commerce, POS, ERP, CRM, and payment systems
• Knowledge of cloud-based architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and integration patterns
• Ability to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders

Desirable

• Experience with high-volume, customer-facing digital platforms
• Knowledge of retail analytics and data platforms
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD environments
• Familiarity with modern commerce platforms
