Your ability to analyze financial losses and build trusted client relationships will be central to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead investigations into insurance-related economic losses, including business interruption, extra expense, stock & contents loss, and liability claims.
- Evaluate policy wording and claim data to support accurate quantification of insured losses.
- Prepare detailed, defensible expert reports used in insurance settlements, mediations, or litigation.
- Serve as a technical resource and client advisor to insurers, law firms, and corporate risk managers.
- Actively contribute to business development through client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
- Manage project teams, mentor junior staff, and ensure timely, quality deliverables.
- CPA designation required; CFF, CFE, CVA, or similar credentials are beneficial and strongly preferred.
- Experience growing a book of business
- Extensive experience in forensic accounting with a focus on insurance claims, especially business interruption and property loss.
- In-depth understanding of insurance policy interpretation, claims processes, and financial modeling for loss quantification.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a track record of successfully managing client relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to external stakeholders.
- Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
