Senior Desktop Engineer
We're partnering with a Tier 1 quant/investment firm seeking a Senior Desktop Engineer to help drive the evolution of its end user computing environment.
This position will play a key role in the evolution of the firm's endpoint management, virtual desktop infrastructure, automation, and modern workplace capabilities. The team supports business-critical technology platforms used across the organization and is looking for someone who can help drive operational efficiency, improve the end-user experience, and contribute to long-term technology initiatives.

This position will play a key role in the evolution of the firm's endpoint management, virtual desktop infrastructure, automation, and modern workplace capabilities. The team supports business-critical technology platforms used across the organization and is looking for someone who can help drive operational efficiency, improve the end-user experience, and contribute to long-term technology initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Engineer, support, and optimize enterprise endpoint management solutions across Windows environments.
- Manage and enhance Microsoft Intune and Entra ID technologies to support device management, identity, and access requirements.
- Design and maintain virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions in cloud and enterprise environments.
- Develop automation solutions using PowerShell to streamline operational processes and reduce manual effort.
- Support and improve endpoint provisioning, deployment, patching, compliance, and lifecycle management.
- Partner with Security, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to maintain secure and reliable desktop platforms.
- Assist with the implementation and administration of Microsoft Purview capabilities related to compliance and information protection.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across endpoint, identity, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
- Contribute to the adoption of modern workplace technologies and future-state endpoint strategies.
- Support highly available and business-critical systems within a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Desired Experience
- Strong experience with Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint management.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
- Hands-on PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
- Experience supporting or engineering VDI environments.
- Exposure to cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware Horizon, VMware products, or cloud-based virtual desktop solutions.
- Knowledge of enterprise desktop engineering, endpoint security, application deployment, and operating system lifecycle management.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview is highly desirable but not a must
- Understanding or exposure to Microsoft Copilot and modern AI-enabled workplace technologies is a plus.
