My client is a financial services firm based in New York that is looking to hire a Senior AI Engineer to help design, build and deploy production grade AI solutions.
The role is focused on delivering AI systems into production and will involve building agent based applications, RAG solutions and enterprise AI services that support real business users. This is an opportunity to work closely with stakeholders to develop scalable AI capabilities that can be leveraged across multiple business functions.
Industry Experience Required: Financial Services, Banking, Capital Markets, Asset Management, Insurance, or other regulated industries.

Responsibilities
- Design, build and deploy production grade AI applications and services.
- Develop agentic AI systems and multi-agent workflows.
- Build and optimise RAG pipelines, retrieval systems and data ingestion frameworks.
- Develop scalable Python services, APIs and backend applications.
- Design AI solutions that solve business problems and support enterprise users.
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Improve the reliability, scalability and performance of AI systems.
- Contribute to engineering best practices, governance and platform standards.
- 5+ years of experience building production grade AI systems.
- Strong Python software engineering experience.
- Experience building and deploying AI, GenAI or LLM-powered applications into production.
- Hands on experience with AI agents, agent orchestration and agent frameworks such as LangGraph or similar technologies.
- Experience with RAG architectures, retrieval systems and vector search.
- Experience building APIs and backend services, ideally using FastAPI.
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and system design.
- Experience working with distributed systems, microservices and enterprise-scale applications.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI or similar.
- Experience working within financial services or other regulated environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms and modern software delivery practices is advantageous.
