We’re looking for an experienced SAP Solution Architect to join a major information services client in Belgium. You’ll support the strategic OneSAP+ program - designing modern SAP architectures, driving integrations, and contributing to major transformation initiatives across Europe.

Logistics
  • Position: Freelance SAP Solution Architect
  • Duration: 12-month contract (extension likely)
  • Day Rate: €(Competitive & Negotiable)
  • Location: Brussels, Belgium (Mostly Remote - 2 days onsite/month)
  • Start Date: ASAP / November 2025
  • Travel: Occasional Berlin travel (costs fully covered)

Core Responsibilities
  • Define SAP solution architectures aligned with enterprise and product-cluster objectives.
  • Document current/future SAP landscapes in collaboration with business, domain, and solution architects.
  • Conduct architecture trade-offs and advise on SAP vs. non-SAP suitability.
  • Translate business needs into solution building blocks using approved architectural patterns.
  • Lead integration design across SAP and non-SAP systems, ensuring performance and scalability.
  • Provide technical oversight throughout implementation, integration, and governance cycles.
  • Maintain SAP templates, architecture standards, and documentation.
  • Participate in design boards (ADR, ATAM) and support technical streams during RFPs.
  • Keep up with the latest SAP technologies and best practices.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • 6+ years in Solution Architecture with strong experience in SAP solution design.
  • Hands-on experience in large transformation programs and migration from legacy landscapes.
  • Expertise with: SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP HANA, SAP Integration Platform.
  • Strong understanding of SAP integration technologies and cross-module business processes.
  • Familiarity with SAP development frameworks and the SAP product portfolio.
  • Experience with ArchiMate modelling (Sparx EA is a plus).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Agile mindset; able to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Fluent EnglishGermanFrench, or Dutch are a plus.

Nice to Have:
SAP ECC, BW/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, C4C, CRM, NetWeaver, SAP Data Platform, SAP certifications, experience in digital transformation and complex migrations.
