Logistics:
- Position: Freelance Test Automation Engineer
- Duration: 12-Month Contract (high likelihood of extension)
- Location: Brussels (Hybrid - 2x days on-site)
- Languages: English (mandatory), French and/or Dutch are a plus
- Start Date: ASAP
- Day Rate: €(Competitive & Negotiable)
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and write test plans, test scenarios, and documentation in English
- Execute functional, non-functional, regression, integration, and performance tests
- Prepare test data and evidence documentation (logs, screenshots, reports)
- Build, implement, and maintain automated test suites (Robot Framework preferred)
- Report and track defects via bug-tracking tools
- Collaborate with developers and IT managers to maintain quality standards
- Provide "Go/No-Go" recommendations for deployment readiness
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in test design, test planning, and test execution
- Solid background in test automation (Python, scripting, or pseudo-code logic)
- Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL)
- Agile/Scrum experience
- Familiarity with concepts like APIs, services, front-end/back-end integrations
- Excellent English communication; clear documentation style
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Robot Framework
- Knowledge of RabbitMQ, security testing, or DevOps workflows
- Exposure to CI/CD, ticketing systems, or containerized environments

- EU work permit + valid Belgian residence permit (if required)
