We are partnering with a rapidly growing, global financial services firm to appoint a VP-level Project Manager into its expanding Compliance Operations function.
Our client has scaled significantly in recent years through acquisitions and new product innovation, increasing both its global footprint and regulatory complexity. As a result, the Compliance function has grown materially and is continuing to evolve — creating the need for a commercially minded, delivery-focused project professional to drive operational change.
This is a high-visibility, standalone delivery role reporting into the Head of Compliance Operations, offering direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to shape a maturing global compliance framework.
The Role The successful candidate will lead strategic and operational projects across the global Compliance function, with a focus on improving governance, efficiency, reporting, and operating model effectiveness.
- End-to-end delivery of compliance transformation and optimisation projects
- Enhancing management information, data capture, and reporting consistency
- Supporting business acquisitions and assessing operating model impacts
- Identifying risks, managing issues, and implementing mitigation plans
- Proactively identifying opportunities for process and control improvements
- Engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
- Current initiatives span surveillance enhancements, process efficiency improvements, reporting harmonisation, conflicts management tools, and assurance framework development.
- A background in business analysis within a regulated environment, now operating as a project manager
- Experience within the UK regulatory landscape (including familiarity with frameworks such as MiFID and SMCR)
- Strong hands-on project delivery experience (formal qualifications such as PRINCE2 advantageous but not essential)
- Exposure to both larger institutions and more agile environments
- An individual who combines strong project delivery capability with commercial awareness and adaptability.
- An understanding of how regulation influences operating model design and change delivery.
- This is not a traditional banking environment. The business is entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and growth-oriented. The successful candidate will be:
- Autonomous and comfortable operating without micromanagement
- Highly visible and accountable for delivery
- Proactive, solutions-oriented, and adaptable
- A strong communicator — able to influence and collaborate effectively
