Platform Engineer /DevOps Engineer (Azure) – OUTSIDE IR35

Overview
We are looking for a Senior Platform / DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience in AKS, Azure networking, and PowerShell scripting, to support the lift-and-shift of Windows Server workloads from on-prem to Azure.

This role is delivery-focused, working on core Azure infrastructure, container platforms, and migration activities within an enterprise environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Support and enhance AKS platforms, including cluster operations and security
  • Design and manage Azure networking (VNets, subnets, NSGs, routing, private endpoints)
  • Lead and support Windows Server lift-and-shift migrations from on-prem to Azure
  • Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using PowerShell
  • Support rehosting of workloads with minimal refactoring
  • Ensure platforms are secure, stable, and well monitored
  • Work closely with platform, infrastructure, and application teams
  • Assist with day-to-day platform operations, incidents, and maintenance
  • Create and maintain clear runbooks and operational documentation

Key Skills & Experience
Essential
  • Strong hands-on experience with AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service)
  • Solid experience with Azure networking in enterprise environments
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills
  • Proven experience migrating Windows Server workloads to Azure (lift & shift)
  • Good understanding of Azure IaaS and core platform services
  • Experience supporting production environments

Nice to have
  • Terraform or other IaC tools
  • Azure Monitor / Log Analytics
  • Basic CI/CD exposure
  • Security hardening of Windows Server and Azure workloads

Contract Details
  • OUTSIDE IR35
  • 12-month rolling contract
