About the Role We are looking for a talented Java Developer to join a leading banking client in Belgium. You will be part of a dynamic IT team delivering secure, high-performance applications that support critical banking operations. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications in a banking environment
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Ensure high performance, security, and compliance with banking regulations
• Contribute to system integration, API development, and microservices architecture
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Java development
• Strong knowledge of Java 8+, Spring Boot, Hibernate
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Familiarity with SQL/Oracle databases
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Docker)
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Knowledge of banking or financial systems is a strong asset

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging systems
• Understanding of security standards in banking (OAuth2, OpenID, etc.)
• French or Dutch language skills
