My global Financial Services client is looking for an experienced Head of Engineering to join their growing function located in Chester.
Responsibilities:
- You'll blend your deep domain and technical expertise to deliver technology solutions in partnership with other technology functions and with 3rd party providers.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Platform Leads, Enterprise Architects & Engineers to coordinate and lead the technology teams
- Partner with Solution Architecture & Enterprise Architecture to ensure we have a clear future plan for the system architecture
- Work with business stakeholders to better understand the emerging credit landscape and to spot new opportunities for growth
- Provide inspiring leadership across teams of engineers developing and supporting modern technology solutions
- Own the technology culture
- Supply critical technical feedback to the financial investment process to obtain funding for key solution opportunities
- Provide influential leadership across the whole platform area
- Self-motivated and capable of driving delivery in a new business area
- Experience in a wide range of modern platforms and technologies
- CI/CD
- Java, Microservices
- Strong capabilities for working with and influencing 3rd party providers
- Great communication skills with business leaders and non-technical staff
- Appreciation of how to use technology to deliver business change
