Contract-to-Hire Opportunity: Enterprise Solution Architect (Freelance) – Brussels
We are currently looking to engage with an experienced Enterprise Solution Architect (Freelancer) based in Brussels for a 6-month freelance mission with the clear objective of transitioning into a permanent/internal role after this period.
Our partner is a leading organisation in the insurance sector, currently undergoing a major transformation initiative. They are seeking a seasoned architect to help bridge enterprise strategy with scalable solution design, playing a central role in defining architecture standards and enabling cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
• 70% Solution Architecture / 30% Enterprise Architecture
• Design end-to-end architecture solutions that align with business and IT strategy
• Develop and maintain reference architecture models and frameworks
• Model and optimize business processes using BPMN 2.0
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure alignment between architecture, delivery, and long-term objectives
• Support governance processes around architectural decisions and technology standards
• Contribute to enterprise architecture strategy and roadmap
• Document and communicate architectural blueprints to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ideal Profile
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect, ideally in the Financial Services industry
• Insurance sector experience is a strong advantage
• Proficient in BPMN 2.0, solution design, and reference architecture frameworks
• Deep understanding of architecture standards and methodologies, including TOGAF
• Strong analytical and communication skills, able to bridge business and technical perspectives
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional environments
• Comfortable working independently as a contractor with a long-term view toward integration into a permanent team
