About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Architect to join a leading banking client in Belgium. In this strategic role, you will define and govern the overall IT architecture landscape, ensuring alignment between business strategy, regulatory requirements, and technology initiatives.
You will play a key role in shaping long-term transformation programs, driving standardisation, optimisation, and innovation across the organisation’s application, data, and infrastructure domains.
Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise architecture vision, principles, and roadmap
• Align IT strategy with business objectives and regulatory requirements
• Govern architecture standards across applications, data, infrastructure, and security
• Lead architecture boards and provide oversight on major transformation initiatives
• Drive simplification and modernisation of legacy banking systems
• Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their strategic impact
• Ensure scalability, resilience, and compliance within a regulated banking environment
• Collaborate with solution architects, domain architects, and senior stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in IT, with significant experience in architecture roles
• Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or similar strategic role
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF)
• Experience in complex system landscapes, ideally within banking or financial services
• Deep knowledge of application, data, cloud, and infrastructure architecture
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience leading large-scale transformation programs

Nice to Have

• Experience in core banking, payments, or regulatory transformation programs
• Knowledge of cloud strategy and hybrid environments
• Architecture certifications (TOGAF, ArchiMate, etc.)
• French or Dutch language skills
