Cloud Solution Architect – Pharmaceuticals Brussels | Hybrid Working | Long-Term Contract/Permanent

The Opportunity We’re partnering with a leading Pharmaceutical organisation in Brussels undergoing a major cloud transformation programme. They are seeking an experienced Cloud Solution Architect to design and deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions that support critical R&D, manufacturing, and commercial platforms.
This is a high-impact role within a highly regulated environment, where security, compliance, data integrity, and system resilience are essential.

You’ll work closely with engineering, data, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders to ensure cloud solutions are robust, compliant, and aligned with enterprise strategy.

Your Responsibilities
  • Design end-to-end cloud-based solutions across infrastructure, applications, and data platforms
  • Translate business, regulatory, and GxP requirements into secure technical architectures
  • Define solution blueprints covering networking, identity, security, and integration
  • Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards (e.g., GxP, GDPR)
  • Support cloud migration and modernisation initiatives (re-hosting, re-platforming, transformation)
  • Provide architectural governance and oversight across cloud-native and hybrid workloads
  • Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to embed best practices
  • Contribute to long-term cloud strategy and roadmap development
What We’re Looking For Essential Experience
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Solution Architect in enterprise environments
  • Strong expertise in at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Experience designing secure, highly available cloud architectures
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, and encryption
  • Experience working in regulated industries (Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Healthcare)
  • Ability to work with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Desirable
  • Experience supporting R&D, laboratory systems, or manufacturing platforms
  • Knowledge of GxP validation and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with data platforms and analytics in regulated environments
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
