A leading product-led organisation is seeking an experienced Cloud Data Platform Engineer to join its team on a contract basis. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining robust, scalable cloud data infrastructure.
We’re looking for someone with strong technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, databases, and orchestration, who can also operate effectively within fast-paced, cross-functional product teams.

Key Skills and Experience
- Kubernetes – experience deploying and managing containerised applications in production
- Terraform – strong understanding of infrastructure as code for Azure environments
- PostgreSQL – deep knowledge of database architecture, performance tuning, and best practices
- Azure – solid experience with cloud-native tooling and services
- Azure Data Factory – experience building and managing data pipelines
- Experience with other orchestration tools or data services within the Azure ecosystem
- Designing, building, and supporting a modern cloud-based data platform
- Creating and maintaining infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes
- Ensuring database builds are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with best practices
- Collaborating with product teams to integrate platform capabilities into data products
- Implementing orchestration and automation for reliable, repeatable deployments
- You understand what makes a good database build, both from an engineering and product perspective
- You are comfortable operating hands-on and writing SQL yourself
- You have experience working within agile, cross-functional product teams
- You are confident making architectural decisions and supporting those with solid implementation
- Outside IR35
- Fully remote within the UK
