The Opportunity We’re supporting a major Utilities organisation in Brussels undergoing a significant cloud transformation programme.
They are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to define, design, and lead the evolution of their enterprise cloud landscape.
This is a high impact role within a critical infrastructure environment, where cloud strategy, security, resilience, and regulatory compliance are paramount.
You’ll work at both strategic and hands-on levels shaping cloud architecture standards while supporting delivery teams across infrastructure, applications, and data platforms.
Your Responsibilities

They are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to define, design, and lead the evolution of their enterprise cloud landscape.

You’ll work at both strategic and hands-on levels shaping cloud architecture standards while supporting delivery teams across infrastructure, applications, and data platforms.
Your Responsibilities
- Define and own the enterprise cloud architecture roadmap
- Design secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions (public / hybrid)
- Establish cloud governance, landing zones, and architectural standards
- Lead cloud migration strategies (re-platforming, re-hosting, modernisation)
- Ensure compliance with EU regulations and industry security frameworks
- Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, security, and application teams
- Provide architectural oversight across cloud-native and legacy workloads
- Act as technical authority for cloud-related decisions
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect in enterprise environments
- Strong expertise in Azure
- Experience designing hybrid cloud architectures
- Deep understanding of cloud security, networking, and identity
- Experience defining landing zones and governance frameworks
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code and DevOps principles
- Strong stakeholder engagement and architectural leadership skills
- Experience within Utilities, Energy, or regulated industries
- Familiarity with EU compliance and data protection requirements
- Experience working in multi-vendor environments
- Work on critical national infrastructure transformation
- Influence long-term cloud strategy in a regulated enterprise environment
- High-visibility role with senior stakeholder engagement
