We are currently partnering with a leading organisation in Brussels on a high-impact executive search for a Dutch-speaking Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). This is a strategic, long-term contract opportunity for a senior leader to define and drive the organisation’s cybersecurity governance and risk posture.
In this role, you will lead enterprise-wide security initiatives with a strong emphasis on Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), NIS2 Directive readiness, and ISO/IEC 27001 implementation and maintenance. As CISO, you’ll work closely with senior leadership, regulators, and technical teams to align security frameworks with evolving business and regulatory demands.

What We’re Looking For:

• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, with 3+ years in a senior leadership role (CISO, Head of InfoSec, etc.)
• Deep understanding of GRC best practices and ISO/IEC 27001 frameworks
• Proven experience managing NIS/NIS2 compliance, ideally in a regulated environment such as finance, critical infrastructure, or healthcare
• Fluent in Dutch, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Confident in engaging at board level and leading cross-functional teams
