My global financial services client is seeking a Software Engineer who possesses a combination of broad and deep technical expertise, to join their team in London.
Responsibilities:
- As we transition our systems to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), your expertise will be critical.
- You will lead the migration of applications and infrastructure from traditional Virtual Machines (VMs) to GCP, ensuring optimal performance, robust security, and cost efficiency.
- You should be able to conduct thorough testing to verify correctness and perform problem analysis and error recovery.
Requirements:
- Skilled in Java, Spring Boot, and Object Relational Mapping (ORM).
- Solid understanding of Dependency Injection and ways to leverage
- Development of RESTful API services & understanding of API Gateways (e.g. APIGEE).
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals, including services and deployments.
- IaC experience with tools like Terraform.
- Build Tools & DevOps principles: GIT, Maven, Jenkins CI/CD, Nexus, SonarQube.
- Event based messaging systems Google Pub/Sub or similar
- SQL/NoSQL database
- Unix/Linux scripting and command line.
- Some frontend experience (JavaScript (React/vue.js) is desirable.
- Exposure to web technologies, data tooling & infrastructure / networking is desirable.
