For a mid-size entrepreneurial Investment Bank in the Hague, we're looking for a Senior Product Owner / Data Transformation Program Manager who will play a pivotal role in the Finance Data Transformation Strategy of the bank.
 
Environment & Team
The role sits within the Data & Analytics department, in the Finance Reporting team, directly reporting to the C-level Data Analytics Director. The team consists of 3 Financial Analyst, a Scrum master and you - the team will be extended with 3 other Financial Analysts/Data Engineers.
 
The D&A department consists of 7 teams in total. This role will be a cross-functional role, impacting the whole D&A department.
 
Your challenge
The main role of the department is to deliver high-quality data products built on a modern Cloud Data Platform, enhancing data-drivenness across the whole organization.
 
You will be responsible for steering the transition from legacy systems to a modern cloud-based data environment.
 
While ensuring the Finance department's data needs are still met, use case by use.
 
Your responsibilities

• You oversee and manage the migration from on-premise data warehouses and legacy BI tools to a Cloud-Based data platform
• You design a detailed roadmap for the migration of the financial reporting and integration data into a modern cloud environment
• You prioritize use cases from the business teams based on their business- and strategic value to the business
• You act as a primary point of contact between the Finance department and tech- and business teams, ensuring business needs are met to the highest standards and regulatory requirements are met
• You'll work in an Agile way of working, together with the scrum master of the team: managing product backlogs, defining user stories and ensuring deadlines are met within the set time frame
• Team leadership: guide and support more junior members of the team, including data engineers, analysts and potential external vendors to ensure high-quality deliverables

 
Tech Stack
Azure Cloud Platform, Data Lakes, Modern Data Architecture, PowerBI, Agile/Scrum way of working, Azure Data Factory, DBT, Databricks, Financial data.
 
Your profile and experience

• 7+ years of work experience as Product Owner, Transition Data Manager, or Program manager in a data-driven environment, focusing on cloud-based transformations and large-scale data migrations.
• You have a finance industry background and are familiar with finance processes, data reporting flows and regulatory requirements
• Cloud & Data Platforms: you have familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure), Power BI, data lakes, and modern data architectures
